Mark Skidmore

CO-FOUNDER & CEO

Mark Skidmore is an entrepreneur, political strategist and marketer. He is currently Co-Founder and CEO of Assemble, a leading political and social impact firm focused on persuading and motivating people to take action. Prior to Assemble, Mark was a founding partner of Bully Pulpit Interactive, the digital media firm behind President Barack Obama’s and Secretary Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaigns.  

Mark pioneered the use of digital media in politics, bringing corporate ROI strategies to political marketing, which has led to hundreds of millions of dollars in donations and millions of supporters for progressive candidates and causes. Over the course of his career in politics he has developed new methods for voter contact, rapid response and persuasion that are now cornerstones of today's political and public affairs playbooks.

Mark has been a campaign advisor to Presidents, Senators, Governors and Mayors across the country, including: Elizabeth Warren, Claire McCaskill; Mayors Rahm Emanuel and Ed Lee and Governor Andrew Cuomo. Mark also ran digital strategy for the DSCC IE’s inaugural digital program. In 2012, Mark led the digital marketing launch for  President Obama's re-election campaign, helping OFA focus on re-engaging with core Democratic voters and grassroots donors.

Over the course of his career he has married lessons from politics to corporate public affairs with a particular expertise in crisis and reputation management. Mark worked with Blue Cross Blue Shield during the adoption of the Affordable Care Act. He has also advised Livestrong, Nike, the Alliance for Climate Protection, American Red Cross, the Presidential Inaugural Committee, and the U.S. Olympic Committee among others.

Chris Falls

Co-founder & Head of integrated media

Chris has spent the last decade building and growing companies across the media landscape, spanning digital, broadcast, cable and film.  

Prior to co-founding Assemble, Chris was Managing Director at Politico in New York where he helped launch the publisher's first acquisition and foray outside the beltway, followed by the expansion of their states operations, ultimately leading strategy, business development, advertising, events, production, subscriptions & client services.  

He was also formerly head of political & advocacy advertising at ABC7-WJLA and NewsChannel8 in Washington, DC, where he developed and managed the broadcaster's market-leading share of what was the highest political media spend of any US market during the then record-breaking 2012 election cycle.  

Before entering the political arena, Chris spent time in Los Angeles where he launched a boutique production company and consulted on the marketing and distribution of independent feature film projects. 

Chris got his start with Viamedia, the leading US independent media rep firm, managing partnerships and monetizing local scatter inventory for cable & MVPD providers across the country.  He graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Finance, and lives in Manhattan with his wife and son.

Eve Samborn McCool

co-founder & chief strategist

Eve is an accomplished digital strategist who has raised more than $10 million online for Democratic candidates and progressive causes, driven millions of advocacy and volunteer engagements and recruited hundreds of thousands of new supporters and followers.

Prior to co-founding Assemble, Eve was the Vice President of Campaigns at Revolution Messaging, where she managed supporter mobilization programs for Democratic campaigns, party committees and nonprofits.

Eve served as the Digital Director for Tammy Duckworth’s 2012 congressional campaign, where she pioneered online fundraising for House campaigns. She established then-Congresswoman Duckworth’s official office digital presence as one of the first digital directors in the House of Representatives. She also served as Digital Director for Senator Duckworth’s 2016 victory.
